Wildlife to Watch: A great abundance and variety of birds can be seen in and around the fish raceways and ponds. Bald eagle, osprey, common merganser, ring-necked duck, and bufflehead can reliably be seen here during fall and winter. Common summer birds include the great blue heron, broad-tailed hummingbird, rufous hummingbird, acorn woodpecker, and Merriam’s turkey. |
